Robin Hood And The Sheriff
From their hiding place, Robin and Little John watched the Sheriff
and his guards. "Welcome, Sheriff, to our humble home," Robin shouted
in greeting. "But first let us help you unload the gold you have stolen
from the poor."
"Never!" the Sheriff shouted back but a hail of arrows silenced him.
As he started to back off, Robin and his men swiftly attacked and they
captured him.
"I'll get my revenge for this," he muttered to himself.
When Robin's men served the Sheriff his dinner, he only ate for
fear of what the outlaws might otherwise do to him. However, the outlaws
did him no harm and planned to release him at dawn.
But as soon as he was released, he ordered his men to burn down
Robin's home village and captured his friend, Maid Marian. He planned
to use her as bait to lure Robin out of the forest.
